TEXAS FARM BUREAU INSURANCE COMPANIES TEAM WITH TRI-STATE FAIR & RODEO

AMARILLO, TX-The Tri-State Fair & Rodeo is pleased to announce that they are teaming up with Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Companies as the Title Sponsor of the 2010 event. A five year commitment on behalf of Texas Farm Bureau will drive the fair as the Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Companies Tri-State Fair & Rodeo.

“Through our involvement with the Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Companies Tri-State Fair & Rodeo, we aim to honor our many Texas Farm Bureau member families in the panhandle,” said Texas Farm Bureau President Kenneth Dierschke. “We are proud to associate our organization with an event of this caliber, which draws generations of families together to celebrate and develop a deeper understanding of our agricultural heritage.”

“We are very pleased that Texas Farm Bureau wanted to come on board with us,” said Virgil Bartlett, General Manager, Amarillo Tri-State Exposition. “Texas Farm Bureau is a solid company and we welcome them as the title sponsor. We think this can be a winning combination for all of us.”

The 6th Annual Gala will serve as the kick-off on Saturday, September 11 at the Amarillo National Center. “Little Big Town” will be the evenings featured entertainment. Also on tap will be the naming of the Western Heritage Hall of Fame Inductee, Amarillo Tri-State Exposition Scholarship Recipients as well as the live and silent auctions that fund the Expositions Scholarship Endowment Fund. “The first single Amarillo Tri-State Exposition scholarship was given in 2004 in the amount of $500. Since that time we have grown through your generous donations throughout the year by annual giving or through the Gala auctions,” said Dale Williams, President, Amarillo Tri-State Exposition Board. “I am very pleased to announce that in 2010 we will be giving out three scholarships in the amount of $5,000 each. We have so many deserving students in the area that we will contine to work diligently in growing our endowment fund.” VIP tables for the event are available for $500 by calling the fair office. A crisp $20 bill will get you into the concert and allow you to assist in naming the 2010 Amarillo Star as well as aid in the building of the scholarship fund.

The 87th Annual Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Companies Tri-State Fair & Rodeo will be underway on Friday, September 17th. The gates will open at 4 p.m. The fun continues throughout the following week and will conclude late in the evening Saturday, September 25th.

“Many new and exciting things are on tap for this year’s event,” said Angela Ragland, Marketing Director, Tri-State Fair & Rodeo. “In addition to everything that comes along with a fair and rodeo we have added several new entertainment options that are included in your gate admission. Your best bet is to check our website www.tristatefair.com so you don’t miss any of the action.”

The Texas Farm Bureau Tri-State Fair & Rodeo runs September 17-25, 2010. The action packed PRCA Rodeo will be held September 23rd – 25th in the Amarillo National Center. Come out and join us for all the food, family and fun! Because after all a fair is the basis of all good things that happen in America.
