Amarillo, TX- The Texas Ford Dealers Tri-State Fair and Rodeo will take place September 18-26 at the Tri-State Fairgrounds located at the corner of 10th Street and Grand. The focus of the Amarillo Tri-State Exposition is to provide a wholesome educational, cultural and recreational experience for area citizens by hosting the Texas Ford Dealers Tri-State Fair and Rodeo and other events to strengthen the Amarillo Economy.

The Tri-State Exposition is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that hosts large events at the Tri-State Fairgrounds to generate revenue for local businesses and citizens.

“The Amarillo Tri-State Exposition really enjoys holding the Texas Ford Dealers Tri-State Fair and Rodeo annually. It is a great family environment and is good wholesome fun for everyone,” said Virgil Bartlett, General Manager, “Where else can you get corn dogs, turkey legs and cheese on a stick all in one place.”

The Texas Ford Dealers Tri-State Fair and Rodeo is hosting several educational acts and exhibits at this year’s celebration. The Virtual Army Exhibit is an interactive exhibit that allows fair patrons to climb inside of a military issue Hummer and fight opposing forces. The VAE is a real life version of a humanitarian mission through hostile territory.

“We have several great exhibits and acts that present a once-in-a-lifetime experience. This year’s fair is keeping up with the modern age of technology and presenting fair-goers with a lot of opportunity to have fun,” said Angela Ragland, Marketing Director.

Daily entertainment on the Coca-Cola Stage will be Paul Isaac “Funny Juggler,” Jeff Martin “The Blond Curly Haired Magician” and Jerry Harris “Master Hypnotist.”

The “Honky Tonk Tailgate Party” will take place Friday, September 25 at 9pm on the Budweiser Stage. Mark Wills, Jeff Bates and Trent Willmon make up the trio that will entertain you after the exciting PRCA Rodeo. Closing out the 2009 Texas Ford Dealers Tri-State Fair and Rodeo will be Heidi Newfield at 9pm on Saturday, September 26 on the Budweiser Stage.
