Expo Wins Seven Marketing Awards…
Tri-State Fair and Rodeo showcased at Austin Convention
AMARILLO, TX- The Texas Association of Fairs and Events convention was held in Austin, January 7-10, 2010. During the convention, the Ray Cammack Awards for Marketing and Communications Excellence was hosted for 2009 fairs and events. The Tri-State Fair and Rodeo was awarded seven marketing awards ranging from Best Brochure to Best Newspaper Ad.
“We are very excited about winning these awards. We have some tough competition in our attendance category so we are very pleased to have done this well,” said Angela Ragland Sponsorship/Marketing Director.
The category placing and awards are as follows for event attendance of 100,001-500,000: Best Overall Award, 3rd Place; Best Program/Brochure/Flyer-Three or fewer colors, 1st Place; Best Newspaper Ad-Color, 2nd Place; Best TV Promotion-Ad Spot or PSA, 3rd Place; Best Miscellaneous Printed Material, 3rd Place; Best Premium Book, 3rd Place; Best Newsletter, 3rd Place.
The top competitors in this attendance range were the Heart of Texas Fair and Rodeo (H.O.T.) in Waco and Rodeo Austin in Austin. Along with the Tri-State Fair and Rodeo, other cities and communities hold local fairs and events that vary in attendance and size. The TAF&E convention allows fair and event professionals, colleagues and volunteers to network and share ideas that will promote growth and further knowledge.
